ICC/IAS Approval for Building Departments – Metal Buildings
Texas is the largest market in the U.S. for pre-manufactured metal buildings. Due to the widespread use of metal buildings for car dealerships, churches, schools, government buildings, office complexes and more, it is critical for building departments to ensure code requirements are being met. The Internation Accreditation Service (IAS), a nonprofit subsidiary of the International Code Council (ICC), provides a no-cost solution for building departments to assist with approving metal building fabricators as defined in International Building Code® (IBC®) Chapter 17.
